Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels
Peel and devein the shrimp if needed
Season lightly with salt and black pepper
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat
Add butter or olive oil to the skillet
Place shrimp in a single layer
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side
Flip when the shrimp turn pink and opaque on the first side
Remove shrimp as soon as they are opaque and curled into a loose C shape
Do not overcook
Add the cooked shrimp to the Alfredo sauce at the end
Serve immediately
