Tap and hold the text you want to copy
Adjust the selection handles if needed
Tap Copy
Open Instagram
Tap and hold in the text field where you want to paste
Tap Paste
If Paste does not appear, tap the text field again and try holding longer
On iPhone, use the system copy and paste menu
On Android, use the system copy and paste menu
To copy a caption or comment, tap and hold the text, then tap Copy
To paste into a caption, comment, bio, or DM, tap the input area and tap Paste
