How To Count Cards In Blackjack?

Choose a counting system (commonly Hi-Lo).

Assign card values: 2–6 = +1, 7–9 = 0, 10–A = −1.

Start a running count at 0.

For each card dealt, update the running count by adding its assigned value.

When the deck count changes, convert running count to true count: True Count = Running Count ÷ Number of decks remaining.

Track decks remaining (including the current shoe position) for the true count.

Use an adjustment rule for betting and/or play decisions based on the true count (system-specific).

Keep a discard/remaining-card estimate accurate as cards are dealt.

Reset the running count to 0 when the shoe is reshuffled.

Practice with real or simulated deals to maintain speed and accuracy.

Use only legal, casino-approved methods and follow all applicable rules.
