Open OneNote
Sign in to your Microsoft account if needed
Go to the notebook list or File menu
Select New Notebook or Add Notebook
Enter a notebook name
Choose a save location if prompted
Select a Microsoft account or storage location
Click Create or Save
Wait for the notebook to sync
Start adding sections and pages
