Wash the pineapple under running water
Place it on a cutting board
Cut off the top crown
Cut off the bottom base
Stand the pineapple upright
Slice away the skin from top to bottom
Remove any remaining eyes with shallow cuts
Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise
Cut each half into quarters if needed
Slice out the hard core from each piece
Cut the flesh into wedges, chunks, or slices
Serve or store the cut pineapple in a sealed container
