Mark the cut line on the paver with a pencil or chalk

Clamp the paver securely on a stable work surface

Cut small straight cuts with a masonry chisel and hammer
Score the line first with a circular saw or angle grinder fitted with a diamond blade
Make several shallow passes instead of forcing one deep cut
Use a wet saw for cleaner, more precise cuts
Use a paver splitter or guillotine cutter for straight cuts
Cut curves or notches with an angle grinder and diamond blade
Support both sides of the paver while cutting to prevent cracking
Lightly tap along the scored line to break the paver if using a chisel
Smooth rough edges with a rubbing stone or masonry file
Sweep away dust and debris after cutting
Test-fit the cut paver before installing it
