Click anywhere inside the table
Go to the table handle or table layout options
Right-click the table
Select Delete Table
Or go to Table Tools
Click Layout
Click Delete
Choose Delete Table
If needed, select the entire table first
Press Backspace or Delete only after selecting the whole table
