Unplug the humidifier and empty the water tank
Disassemble removable parts according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Fill the tank with equal parts white vinegar and water
Let the solution sit for 20 to 30 minutes
Use a soft brush or cloth to scrub mineral buildup
Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water
Wipe the base and other non-submersible parts with a vinegar-dampened cloth
Rinse again to remove any remaining vinegar
Dry all parts completely before reassembling
Refill with fresh water and run the humidifier if needed to clear any residue
Repeat regularly to prevent future scale buildup
