Unplug the dryer or turn off the gas supply
Remove the lint screen and clean off lint
Wash the lint screen with warm water and mild soap if needed
Vacuum the lint trap housing
Pull the dryer away from the wall
Disconnect the vent hose
Clean lint from the vent hose and vent opening
Vacuum behind and under the dryer
Wipe the drum with a damp cloth and mild detergent
Clean the dryer door, gasket, and control panel
Check and clean the moisture sensors if present
Reattach the vent hose securely
Push the dryer back into place
Run the dryer on air fluff for a few minutes to clear dust
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth
Clean the dryer vent system regularly
