Press Win + R, type `services.msc`, and press Enter
Find `Windows Update`
Double-click `Windows Update`
Set `Startup type` to `Disabled`
Click `Stop`
Click `Apply`
Click `OK`
Press Win + R, type `gpedit.msc`, and press Enter
Go to `Computer Configuration` > `Administrative Templates` > `Windows Components` > `Windows Update`
Open `Configure Automatic Updates`
Select `Disabled`
Click `Apply`
Click `OK`
Open `Settings`
Go to `Update & Security`
Click `Windows Update`
Click `Advanced options`
Turn off `Automatically download updates, even over metered data connections`
Set your network connection as `Metered connection`
Open `Settings`
Go to `Network & Internet`
Click `Wi-Fi` or `Ethernet`
Select your connected network
Turn on `Set as metered connection`
Press Win + R, type `regedit`, and press Enter
Go to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsWindowsUpdateAU`
Create a `DWORD (32-bit) Value` named `NoAutoUpdate`
Set its value to `1`
Restart your PC
