Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Messages and story replies
Tap Message controls
Choose who can message you
Set message requests to Off where available
Set followers, people you follow, and others to Don’t receive requests where available
Turn off message requests from others where possible
Use Restrict for specific accounts if you want to limit messages
Use Block for accounts you do not want to message you at all
