Restart the phone
Press and hold the Power button
Tap Restart
If Safe Mode remains, power off the phone
Remove the battery if your model has a removable battery
Wait 30 seconds
Reinsert the battery
Turn the phone back on
Check the volume buttons for sticking
Make sure no button is being held during startup
Uninstall any recently installed apps
Clear the cache partition from Recovery Mode
Update the phone software
Perform a factory reset if Safe Mode still stays on
