Power off the controller
Disconnect the USB cable
Remove the screw near the L2 trigger
Remove the screw near the R2 trigger
Remove the screw in the center bottom area
Remove the screw near the top middle area
Separate the rear shell from the front shell
Lift the battery cover area carefully
Disconnect the battery connector
Remove the battery
Disconnect the ribbon cable for the touchpad
Disconnect the ribbon cable for the light bar
Disconnect the ribbon cable for the buttons if present
Remove the motherboard screws
Lift out the motherboard carefully
Remove the analog stick modules if needed
Remove the trigger assemblies if needed
Remove the button membranes if needed
Keep track of all screws and parts
