Start a new page at the end of your paper
Title the page Works Cited
Center the title at the top
Use the same font and size as the rest of your paper
Double-space the entire page
Use a hanging indent for each entry
Alphabetize all sources by the author’s last name
If there is no author, alphabetize by the first significant word of the title
Include only sources you actually used in your paper
List each source in MLA format
Put books, articles, websites, and other sources in separate entries
Use italics for titles of books, websites, and journals
Put quotation marks around article titles, poem titles, and web page titles
Include all required publication details for each source
Make sure every in-text citation matches an entry on the Works Cited page
Check punctuation, capitalization, and spacing carefully
Review the final page for consistency and accuracy
