Press Control + Command + Space
Click the emoji or symbol you want
Use the search bar to find an emoji
Double-click the emoji to insert it
Open the Character Viewer from the Edit menu if needed
Pin the emoji picker open by clicking the expand icon
Use the globe key or Function key if your Mac keyboard is set up for it
Right-click a text field and choose Emoji & Symbols if available
