Open Google Photos in a web browser
Sign in to your Google account
Go to https://takeout.google.com
Deselect all products
Select Google Photos
Choose the photo albums or all photos you want to export
Click Next step
Choose your delivery method
Choose export frequency
Choose file type and file size
Click Create export
Wait for Google to prepare the download
Open the email from Google Takeout
Click the download link
Download the export files to your device
Extract the downloaded archive files
Save the photos to your preferred folder
