Go to the official OptiFine website
Open the Downloads page
Find the version that matches your Minecraft version
Click the Download link for that version
On the next page, wait for the timer if shown
Click the Skip or Continue button when available
Save the OptiFine .jar file to your computer
Open the downloaded .jar file to install OptiFine
Follow the installer prompts to complete installation
Launch Minecraft and select the OptiFine profile if needed
