Draw a rough tree trunk shape
Add a few main branches extending outward
Make the branches look dry, broken, and uneven
Taper the trunk and branches toward the ends
Add smaller dead twigs branching off the main limbs
Use jagged, cracked lines on the bark
Remove any leafy shapes or full foliage
Add a few broken branch stubs
Darken the base of the trunk for weight
Shade one side of the trunk and branches
Add sparse ground roots if desired
Finish with a few fallen twigs around the base
