Draw a small oval or teardrop shape for the flame
Draw a larger teardrop shape below it for the diya body
Add a curved base under the diya body
Draw a small lip or rim at the top opening
Add a shallow curved line inside the top to show the oil surface
Draw a wick extending from the center of the oil surface to the flame
Add a few curved lines around the flame for glow if desired
Outline the diya with a darker line
Erase extra sketch marks
Color the flame yellow and orange
Color the diya body in red, brown, gold, or any preferred color
