Use a ruler or straightedge
Draw the first straight line
Place the ruler at the desired distance from the first line
Keep the ruler at the same angle as the first line
Draw the second straight line along the ruler
Check that both lines stay the same distance apart
Use a set square or protractor if needed to keep the lines aligned
