Open Google Maps
Search for a place or zoom to the exact location
Tap and hold on the map where you want the pin
Release your finger
Review the dropped pin details at the bottom
Tap the pin details panel to view options like sharing or saving
To save, tap Save (or the bookmark icon) and choose a list
