Unplug the iPhone immediately
Turn the iPhone off
Hold the iPhone with the charging port facing down
Gently tap the iPhone against your hand to remove excess liquid
Leave the iPhone in a dry, well-ventilated area
Let it air dry for at least 30 minutes
Wait longer if the liquid exposure was significant
Do not use a hair dryer
Do not insert cotton swabs, paper, or other objects into the port
Do not put the iPhone in rice
Do not charge the iPhone until the port is completely dry
Try charging again only after the liquid warning disappears
Contact Apple Support if the warning remains or the phone was exposed to salt water or other liquids
