Shake the blanket outdoors to remove dust and loose dirt
Check the care label for any special cleaning instructions
Spot-clean stains with a mild detergent and a damp cloth
Fill a bathtub, basin, or large bucket with cool or lukewarm water
Add a small amount of gentle detergent and mix well
Submerge the blanket and gently press it through the water
Avoid harsh scrubbing or twisting
Let it soak for 10 to 15 minutes if needed
Drain the soapy water and refill with clean water
Rinse the blanket by pressing it gently until no soap remains
Press out excess water without wringing
Lay the blanket flat on clean towels
Roll the blanket in the towels and press to absorb more water
Spread the blanket flat on a drying rack or clean surface
Keep it in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight
Turn the blanket occasionally to help it dry evenly
Fluff or reshape the blanket while it is still slightly damp
Make sure it is completely dry before storing or using it
