Check whether you have permission to edit the PDF
Open the PDF in a PDF editor that supports unlocking or editing
Enter the password if the PDF is password-protected
Use the editor’s unlock, permissions, or security settings
Save an unlocked copy if editing is allowed
Edit the text, images, or pages in the unlocked copy
If the PDF is digitally signed, remove or invalidate the signature only if permitted
If you do not have the password, request an unlocked copy from the owner
If the file is restricted by permissions, use authorized software or ask the owner to change the settings
Save the edited file under a new name
