Place the Enchanting Table
Gather Lapis Lazuli
Make Bookshelves and place them around the Enchanting Table with one block of space between
Put the item you want to enchant in the left slot of the Enchanting Table
Put Lapis Lazuli in the right slot
Choose an available enchantment
Use an Anvil with Enchanted Books to apply specific enchantments
Use an Enchanted Book on an Anvil to combine enchantments
Use an Enchantment Book from fishing, trading, or loot if needed
Use a Grindstone to remove enchantments if needed
