Sign your name on the back of the cheque exactly as it appears on the front
Write “Pay to the order of [full name of the person receiving it]” below your signature
Add the date if required by your bank
Hand the endorsed cheque to the named person
Make sure the recipient’s name is spelled correctly
Check with your bank first, since some banks do not allow third-party cheque endorsements
Use the cheque only if the bank and local laws permit this type of transfer
