Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap Followers
Find the follower you want to remove
Tap Remove next to their name
Confirm Remove if prompted
To prevent them from following again, tap Block on their profile
Set your account to Private in Settings and privacy
Remove unwanted followers one by one, since Instagram does not offer a bulk delete option
