Back up any saved data you want to keep
Sign in to the PS4 with the account that has system management access
Go to Settings
Select Initialization
Select Initialize PS4
Choose Quick or Full
Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm
Wait for the reset to complete
If needed, start the PS4 in Safe Mode
Turn off the PS4 completely
Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps
Connect the controller with a USB cable
Select Initialize PS4 from Safe Mode
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the factory reset
