How to Figure Out the Wind Chill?

Use the wind chill formula:

Wind Chill = 35.74 + 0.6215T – 35.75(V^0.16) + 0.4275T(V^0.16)

T = air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit

V = wind speed in miles per hour

Use the formula only when temperature is 50°F or lower and wind speed is above 3 mph

Convert temperature to Fahrenheit if needed

Convert wind speed to miles per hour if needed

Substitute the values into the formula

Calculate the result

Round to the nearest whole number if desired

Use a wind chill chart if you do not want to calculate it manually
