Describe the incident clearly and briefly
Attach all supporting evidence
Mention the date, time, platform, and amount of loss if any
Submit the complaint and save the acknowledgment number or reference ID
Follow up with the investigating authority using the reference number
Inform your bank, payment app, email provider, or social media platform if accounts or money are affected
Change passwords and enable two-factor authentication on affected accounts
Block the scammer or suspicious account if needed
Keep copies of every submission and communication related to the complaint
