Use a butane refill canister
Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames, sparks, and heat
Turn the lighter upside down
Purge any remaining air from the refill valve if needed
Select the correct refill nozzle adapter for the lighter
Insert the nozzle firmly into the refill valve
Press the canister down for a few seconds
Repeat in short bursts until the lighter is full
Stop when butane begins to overflow or hiss back
Let the lighter sit upright for a few minutes before use
Adjust the flame if the lighter has a flame control
Check for leaks before lighting
