Use the correct fuel for your lighter
Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames and heat
Turn the lighter upside down
Locate the refill valve on the bottom
Purge any remaining air from the fuel tank if needed
Shake the butane canister before use
Insert the nozzle of the butane canister into the refill valve
Press down firmly for a few seconds
Repeat in short bursts until the lighter is full
Let the lighter sit for a few minutes
Adjust the flame if your lighter has a flame control
Test the lighter carefully after refilling
