Wash and dry your feet
Cut a strip of medical tape or kinesiology tape
Place the toe in a straight, comfortable position
Wrap the tape around the affected toe and the adjacent toe to gently hold it aligned
Do not wrap the tape too tightly
Check that the toe stays warm and pink
Remove the tape if you feel numbness, tingling, pain, or swelling
Reapply fresh tape daily or as needed
Wear roomy shoes with a wide toe box
Stop taping and seek medical advice if the toe is rigid, painful, or worsening
