Check the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors
Repair or replace damaged sensors or wiring
Verify the air filter and intake system are clean and unobstructed
Check engine compression and repair internal engine issues if found
Inspect the exhaust system for restrictions or leaks
Clear the code after repairs and test drive the vehicle
Re-scan to confirm the code does not return
