Clean the chipped area with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth
Dry the area completely
Avoid washing the car or using the defroster on high heat
Apply clear tape over the chip to keep out dirt and moisture
Use a windshield repair kit with resin and an applicator
Follow the kit instructions to inject resin into the chip
Let the resin cure in direct sunlight or with the included curing strip
Scrape off excess resin with a razor blade if instructed by the kit
Polish the repaired area with a microfiber cloth
Replace the windshield if the chip is large, cracked, or in the driver’s line of sight
Have a professional repair or replace it if the chip spreads or the damage is severe
