How to Replace Windscreen?

Park the vehicle on a level surface and switch off the ignition

Wear safety gloves and eye protection

Remove wiper arms, cowl trim, mirrors, sensors, and any trim blocking the windscreen

Protect the dashboard and bodywork with covers

Cut through the old adhesive seal around the windscreen with a suitable cutting tool

Lift out the old windscreen carefully with suction cups

Remove remaining adhesive from the frame, leaving a thin base layer if required by the adhesive system

Clean the bonding area with the recommended cleaner

Inspect the frame for rust, damage, or corrosion and repair if needed

Apply primer to the frame and new windscreen if required by the adhesive manufacturer

Fit new mouldings, clips, or brackets to the replacement windscreen if needed

Apply a continuous bead of approved automotive adhesive to the frame or glass

Position the new windscreen accurately into place

Press the windscreen firmly and evenly to seat it

Reinstall trim, cowl, wipers, sensors, and mirrors

Check alignment, sealing, and fitment around the edges

Allow the adhesive to cure for the recommended time before driving

Avoid slamming doors, washing the vehicle, or driving until fully cured

Test for leaks and verify all removed components are working properly
