Lay the rug flat on a clean, dry floor
Roll the rug in the opposite direction of the curl
Leave the rug rolled tightly for several hours or overnight
Place heavy, flat objects on the curled edges
Use rug tape or double-sided carpet tape on the corners
Steam the rug lightly from the back if the material allows it
Use a warm iron with a damp cloth barrier if the care label permits
Expose the rug to direct sunlight for a short time if safe for the material

Stretch the rug gently by hand from the center outward
Place furniture on the rug to help hold it flat
Repeat the process as needed until the rug lies flat
