How To Flush Ear Wax?

Use a few drops of mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or over-the-counter ear drops to soften the wax

Tilt your head and let the drops sit in the ear for a few minutes

Fill a bulb syringe with warm water

Gently tilt your head over a sink and slowly squirt the warm water into the ear

Let the water and wax drain out

Repeat if needed, but stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or worsening blockage

Dry the outer ear with a clean towel

Do not use cotton swabs, hairpins, or other objects inside the ear

Do not flush the ear if you have ear pain, drainage, a perforated eardrum, ear tubes, or a history of ear surgery

See a doctor if the wax does not come out, hearing is reduced, or symptoms persist
