Open the Excel worksheet
Select the row below the row you want to freeze
Go to the View tab
Click Freeze Panes
Click Freeze Panes again from the dropdown
To freeze only the top row, go to View
Click Freeze Panes
Click Freeze Top Row
To unfreeze rows, go to View
Click Freeze Panes
Click Unfreeze Panes
