Clear the room of furniture and obstacles
Remove skirting boards or trim if needed
Cut the lino into manageable strips with a utility knife
Lift a corner using a scraper, putty knife, or floor scraper
Pull the lino up by hand as you work along the strip
Use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften stubborn adhesive
Scrape off remaining glue or backing from the subfloor
Wear gloves and safety glasses
Dispose of the removed lino and debris properly
