Acclimate the vinyl flooring according to manufacturer instructions
Plan the layout and determine the starting point
Mark reference lines if needed
Cut the vinyl flooring to fit the room
Install underlayment if required
Apply adhesive if using glue-down vinyl
Lay the first row or plank carefully
Continue installing the flooring row by row
Stagger seams if using planks or tiles
Roll or press the flooring to remove air pockets
Trim edges and cut around doorways, vents, and obstacles
Install transition strips where needed
Reinstall baseboards and trim
Clean the floor and inspect for gaps or loose areas
