Measure the room and buy enough sheet vinyl, adding extra for trimming
Remove old flooring, baseboards, and obstacles as needed
Clean the subfloor thoroughly and remove all debris
Repair cracks, holes, and uneven spots in the subfloor
Make sure the subfloor is dry, smooth, and level
Acclimate the sheet vinyl in the room if the manufacturer requires it
Roll out the vinyl and let it relax before cutting
Position the sheet vinyl in the room and align the pattern if needed
Trim the vinyl to fit the room, leaving a small excess at the edges
Cut around corners, doorways, and fixtures carefully
Dry-fit the vinyl and adjust as needed
Apply adhesive if using glue-down sheet vinyl
Set the vinyl into place, starting from one end and working outward
Smooth the vinyl with a floor roller or hand roller to remove air bubbles
Trim the edges for a precise fit
Reinstall baseboards and transition strips
Seal seams if required by the manufacturer
Clean the floor after installation
Avoid heavy traffic until the adhesive fully cures
