How to Install Linoleum?

Measure the room and calculate the amount of linoleum needed

Remove furniture, baseboards, and existing flooring if necessary

Clean the subfloor thoroughly

Repair cracks, holes, and uneven areas in the subfloor

Ensure the subfloor is dry, smooth, and level

Acclimate the linoleum in the room if recommended by the manufacturer

Roll out the linoleum and let it relax

Cut the linoleum to fit the room, leaving a small excess at the edges

Dry-fit the linoleum and adjust the cuts as needed

Apply adhesive if using glue-down linoleum

Lay the linoleum into place and press it firmly

Smooth out air bubbles with a floor roller or hand roller

Trim the edges for a precise fit

Install baseboards or molding to cover the edges

Clean the surface and allow the floor to set before use
