How To Freeze Tomatoes?

Wash the tomatoes

Remove stems

Dry the tomatoes completely

Choose whole, chopped, or peeled tomatoes

For peeled tomatoes, blanch in boiling water for 30 to 60 seconds

Transfer to ice water

Peel off the skins

Remove cores if desired

Cut into desired size if freezing chopped tomatoes

Place tomatoes in freezer bags or airtight containers

Remove as much air as possible

Label with the date

Freeze flat if using bags

Store in the freezer

Use within 8 to 12 months
