How To Fully Erase A SSD Including Windows?

Back up any files you want to keep

Create a bootable Windows installation USB or another bootable wipe tool

Boot from the USB

Open Windows Setup or the wipe tool

Press Shift+F10 in Windows Setup to open Command Prompt

Type `diskpart`

Type `list disk`

Identify the SSD by size

Type `select disk X`

Type `clean all`

Wait for the process to complete

Type `exit`

Close Command Prompt

Continue Windows Setup if you want to reinstall Windows

If the SSD supports Secure Erase, use the manufacturer’s tool or BIOS/UEFI Secure Erase option instead

If the SSD supports NVMe Sanitize, use the manufacturer’s tool or BIOS/UEFI Sanitize option instead

Remove the SSD and connect it to another system if needed for the erase process

Verify the SSD is empty before reuse or disposal
