How To Germinate Peach Seeds?

Remove the pit from a ripe peach and wash off all fruit flesh

Let the pit dry for a few days

Crack the hard outer shell carefully to extract the seed, if desired

Place the seed in a damp paper towel or moist peat moss

Seal it in a plastic bag or container with some air space

Refrigerate it at 34–40°F for 8–12 weeks

Check periodically to keep the medium moist, not wet

Plant the seed in a pot with well-draining soil after it sprouts

Place the pot in a warm, bright location

Keep the soil evenly moist until the seedling emerges

Transplant outdoors after the seedling is strong and frost danger has passed
