Check whether your PlayStation model and system software support custom backgrounds
On PS4, go to Settings
Select Themes
Select Custom
Choose an image source such as USB storage
Copy your image to a USB drive in a folder the system can read
Insert the USB drive into the PlayStation
Select the image you want to use
Adjust the crop and position if needed
Save and apply the custom theme or background
On PS5, use the available personalization options in Settings
Use supported theme or wallpaper features if available on your system version
Upload or select a compatible image only if the console allows it through supported features
Update your system software if custom background options are not showing
Use a supported image format and resolution
Avoid copyrighted or inappropriate images that violate platform rules
