File the top layer of the acrylic nails to remove the shine
Soak a cotton ball in acetone
Place the acetone-soaked cotton ball on the nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil
Wait 20 to 30 minutes
Check if the acrylic has softened
Gently push off the softened acrylic with a cuticle pusher
Rewrap and soak again if needed
Buff away remaining residue
Wash hands and apply cuticle oil or moisturizer
