Wash your hands
Blink several times
Rub your eye gently with a clean finger if needed
Pull the upper eyelid over the lower eyelid and blink
Rinse your eye with clean water or saline
Use a clean, damp cotton swab to lift the eyelash if it is visible on the white of the eye or eyelid
Use a clean tissue to remove it from the corner of the eye if it has moved there
Do not rub hard
Do not use tweezers or sharp objects near the eye
Seek medical help if the eyelash will not come out or if you have pain, redness, or vision changes
