Blot up any fresh urine with paper towels
Rinse the stained area with cold water
Soak the clothes in cold water mixed with an enzyme cleaner
Let the clothes soak for at least 30 minutes, or longer for strong odors
Wash the clothes separately in cold or warm water
Add an enzyme laundry detergent or odor remover
Avoid using bleach or hot water at first
Check the clothes before drying
Repeat the soak and wash if the smell remains
Air dry the clothes until the odor is completely gone
Wash again with baking soda or white vinegar if needed
Clean the washing machine after washing heavily soiled items
